I accepted the final offer as Tax Examing Technician. Does that mean I should show up on the first day or do I need to wait to receive a follow upconfirming I am hired from the IRS?

Don't take out word for it, email or call them.

A timeline of the process would be helpful. Expect further correspondences related to the processes associated with security and onboarding. If you accespted the final offer yesterday (via email we presume), don't expect a response the very next day...

Do you mean a tentative offer or final offer? I was given paperwork to fill out after the tentative offer, and received the final offer with the start date. Did the offer not come directly from IRS HR?

No. I got both the tentative and final offer. I just haven't received any correspondence after signing the final offer. I'm supposed to show up on the 25th according to the final offer. Is this how it usually is, or should I be expecting a follow up after signing the final offer?

I’m not sure if they reach out again after the final offer. I called my future sup just to let him know after I received the final offer. I have the same start date. Maybe they’ll reach out with more specifics closer to the day?

If your not sure, contact them, don't take our word on it. Its too important to rely on something that you heard from someone on the internet. However , it looks to me that you have the job. They told you when to show up. But like I said, I'm just some guy off the internet. Contact them and ask.

Show up on the 25th as instructed. If you have any questions, contact your POC.

in addition to HR communication, typically your manager would also be contacting you directly for reporting instructions. agency/manager action varies.
