DHS
The Department of Homeland Security has a vital mission: to secure the nation from the many threats we face. This requires the dedication of more than 230,000 employees in jobs that range from aviation and border security to emergency response, from cybersecurity analyst to chemical facility inspector. [Their] duties are wide-ranging, but [their] goal is clear: keeping America safe. (source: www.dhs.gov)

I have been in talks with HR and when I do come on board they will match my current pay. My background check finished January 2020. Does anyone know if I have to redo my background check again?

Field Offices will resume hiring now. They expect for new employees to begin working by the end of FY21 Q3.

Hello MGG. How do you know? HR told me today we have to wait for the freeze to lift to continue work on my background check. That she couldn’t tell me exactly when the freeze will end. Hopefully soon.

It just said Field Offices will start the hiring process.

I noticed they have been putting announcements only for the higher grades Gs 12, 13, 14
I’m currently going through the background or at least filling out current info on eqip.
Position for ISA Gs-6 effected by the freeze I sent HR an email and they said my app is in process again.

Oh yea I been seeing a lot for camp springs. I was wondering if that was a new place. There is also a social security office there in camp springs that was hiring lots of people too.

When the status of your application is at the EOD office for adjudication. Is that when they decide if they will hire you after adjudicating the background check? Does this office provide the entry date?
Can I negotiate salary after final offer but before start date?
