For all those recent applicants one thing I can tell as the previous poster is move on with life with other opportunities as they come your way. Dont lose them for this processing to be done , because the process is fine tuned for each applicant and there is no firm timeline. If you are fit from "their" standards and the position is still open from priority perspective you will definitely not be ignored. Good Luck Edited by user Monday, September 21, 2020 4:13:29 PM(UTC)

I applied in February 2020, tested in March 2020, just got my rejection letter a few days ago. The entire timeline took around 220 days. So good luck to everyone that advanced in the application process.

I applied in July 2020, tested in August 2020, and have heard nothing back yet. I'm not sure if it's due to a back up in the office due to COVID or what

Also adding hope to some of you.... Close friend applied in July and received CJO in October of same year...nice and timely....then it was literally 3 years from CJO to FJO with friend doing things (paperwork, meeting BI, Poly (passed 1st time), medical as quickly as possible. It can take a long time but my friend is so happy and feels it was worth the wait! Hang on if you can but go on with life while waiting as it can be quite a while. Does anyone know if they do the 45-60 day (forgot since its been awhile) update on processing? Not sure if they do the update, but did you talk to somebody about getting a final offer? I talked to my POC back in Feb and they were putting together the final offer and then out of office due to covid. Haven't heard from them since.

I think I made a typo and I did get a COE (not COJ), not sure if thats a "final offer", but I just last heard I was in progress and nothing since.

After you get through the clearance process you will talk to the actual office that is hiring you and you will receive a final job offer that has the grade/step and work role you will be hired into. If you look back in this forum, you will see people that go 3+ years from COE to FJO, depending on personal circumstances.

For anyone submitting a new application now, how long has it taken you to hear back? I know pre-COVID it was like 1-2 weeks, curious as to whether that's still accurate? Looking for info re all/any directorate. Thank you!

If they got back to you within 2 weeks of the application submission then thats a new record. Usually its at least 6 weeks and generally more. Back when I applied they contacted me about 90 days after I submitted. I would say be patient. Most of the IC is still doing shift work due to the pandemic so processing will take longer. GL!

When did you apply if you don't mind my asking? People I've spoken to have heard back within 2 weeks (pre-covid) and 3 weeks (during covid). And thank you!!

If one applied mid Nov 2020 and still no response- would one assume rejection? Asking for a friend.

Sometimes it takes a while to get back to you. If you don't hear back in a year, try again. Sometimes it is based on need and amount of applicants for specific positions. They are also not fully manned because of COVID, so things are taking longer than usual.
