Internal Revenue Service

As a bureau of the Department of the Treasury and as one of the world's most efficient tax administrators, the IRS role is to help the large majority of compliant taxpayers with the tax law, while ensuring that the minority who are unwilling to comply pay their fair share. (Source: www.irs.gov)

This forum will allow you to share and ask job-related questions about this bureau. This is NOT the place to ask tax questions.

I spoke with HCO today regarding the test and the email sent out saying they mistakenly sent it to everyone.

They will evaluate you on whatever score was higher if you didn’t not need to take the test.

That is all.

Good luck to everyone! Does anyone know about how long it takes to get the results of the KaSE?

I suggest you learn patience. It’s going to take a while.

From 2019, it took 2 months. In 2018, it took 3 months. Most recently in 2019, you had to take the test by July 2, 2019 and results were out on August 9, 2019. A lot of people failed though (someone said only 200 of 3000 passed, but I doubt that is accurate, as that would make the test harder than the State Dept FSO Exam/CFA). If you passed in 2019, had CAT A and were referred, interviews were in September/October. People who cleared Medical are now just heading to FLETC.

For people who already passed test, maybe the timeline will be shorter. Good luck everyone, see you in the Spring.

Was speaking to an SSA from my FO on Wednesday about the Feb 2019 announcement. Last I heard from the SAC they were hoping for 150 hires from that opening. Per the SSA it has been around 40. He said people just aren't getting through the phases. If they do they get an offer and then it's on them to finish medical/audit etc and accept an offer. Classes are going unfilled or partially filled at FLETC.
