In your opinions, what are the benefits if any of working past 41 years and 11 months with CSRS, how does working past 41 years and 11 months affect the pension? I read that when you are retired you pay tax on your health plan so that is one consideration.I work for the military and my boss may extend the year and I may stay as long as he stays that would bring me to about 42 and 11 mos or 43 years .and 11 months. I owe about 3 years from retirement took out in 1978, so I was thinking I would be paying some of it back (3 years I took out) and by paying back about a year and 3 months, how it would affect my retirement. I want to know honestly your opinions if this is worth it or if it’s a dumb idea.
