Yes. Accepted my offer 2/3 and received that background email 2/5. Nothing since besides a social media usage email.

Awesome! How soon after you submitted your EQip did you get scheduled for the poly?

Submitted March 1st. PSI was scheduled within the week and poly next month. The only reason they had to schedule to poly so far out they said was because they did not have a full time polygrapher at the office. So that was the earliest they had one on site.

I also had this question. I have been waiting patiently for the posting to come out too. Anyone have any idea of when they may possibly open the IA spot again?

The one I applied to last year was 4/23/20. So I would venture a guess of relatively soon.

Thanks! I hope it is soon. I've been checking everyday and I know it's a long process so I'd like to get it going haha.

Submitted my e-qip on 2/28
HR Processing (Drug test/fingerprints) 3/26

Was told that they would be reaching out either today or early next week to schedule PSI and Poly.

Is there anyone else processing out of Baltimore? I'm curious if everyone else's timeline is pretty much the same.

It may be worth nudging HR to inquire. Back in 2019, I got an email saying I would receive my CJO, but two weeks later I'd yet to get the CJO. I had to check in with my field office and they didn't realize they hadn't sent it out. Sometimes applicants' case files get shifted to different investigators and things get lost. Seems like most applicants on these boards reach out every couple months or so just to check in.

Hello all, I have a question about reapplying for the IA position and I hope you all can help.

In 2018, I got a letter saying that I was found "unsuitable for FBI employment" after admitting some things in my past before the polygraph, and when I called to ask what that means going forward, I was told by the SA handling my application that being found unsuitable means you can never work for the FBI in your life.

However, back in April 2020 I reapplied just for the hell of it, didn't hear anything for 3 months, then was sent a CJO in July 2020. I accepted it, got a few of those "ACTIVE"/general information emails from the FBI, and now nothing.

What gives? Has anyone been found unsuitable but was able to reapply again? The thing that makes me believe the second CJO I received is a mistake is that it seems to have typos and mistakes such as the "3rd" in my address showing as "3Rd" and the final line of the CJO, "If there are any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact Name at Phone Number or Email.", is not filled in with a contact name, phone number, or email. That, along with what the SA in 2018 said about never being able to work for the FBI if you were found unsuitable.

I moved in-between 2018 and now, and I live closer to a different field office, but not sure how that factors in. What do you all think I should do now? I'm afraid of calling someone in the FBI and hearing "oh that was a mistake, you weren't supposed to get that" and having my dream crushed a second time, but it could also be the opposite and be a true thing.

Thanks for your help.

Tried to send you a PM but your inbox is full.
I know their drug policy changed from (something like) you could never have smoked pot, to you couldn't have smoked in the last 10 years, to now it is you can't have smoked in the last 3 years. Which, depending on why you were found unsuitable, could be the reason you were sent the CJO. (Or so the SA doing my background told me)

I would call and ask though. You may end up finding out that it was a mistake, but wouldn't you rather know now than wait months or years all while getting your hopes up? Better to be let down now than holding out hope and finding out later it was a mistake.

Took the P2 exam back in January 2020. Still haven't heard anything and it has been almost 90 days/3 months. Is anybody still waiting for their results as well?

Hello Everyone!

LONG time lurker, first time poster. This forum has been incredibly helpful to me throughout the process so far so I thought I’d finally start to pitch in!

In response to wannabefed: I took P2 on 12/1/2020 and I received my results on 2/22/21. Fingers crossed you’ll be getting your results any second now!!

Received an email to schedule my PSI later this month but it doesn't mention a poly. Are they generally done at the same time or do they have to give you notice separately?
