Management trying some tricky stuff. Said as long as we work 7hrs and 1min they will pay us for 8hrs work. That we can go home afterwards.

Trying to get everyone to burn up their route and office time I say to use it against us later, even tho they said it wouldn’t be used against us.

Of the volume allows it then why not? Not every day is going to have the volume to be 8 hours. If you do your route honest and work honest then it will show.

Look, I'm all for working honest. You may know carriers who don't, and there may be some posters on this forum who don't, but I believe the vast majority of carriers give an honest days work.

If you don't have 8 hours of work, you should take extra from another route, not milk the clock. If this happens all the time, you should get a route addition.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 what happens if you think you don't have enough for a 8 hr day. Go to the boss and ask for a pivot?

Yes, that is indeed what you should do. The fact that you think it is ridiculous is only adding weight to Craig's argument.

Say you worked in a factory, and the boss said "the goal is to make 100 widgets." Say you make your 100 widgets in 7 hours. Do you go wait in the break room for an hour? Or do you keep making widgets, since after all, you are paid by the hour?

Get it in your heads - city carriers are paid by the hour.

Well good thing we dont have aux routes in our station. We average 9hrs and inspection comes in and take more routes. I dont know where you and Craig carry.

Many times. However I'm on the slower side and take 2-3 bathroom stops during the day. Many routes are really much too long for me, so it's not all that common for me to be under.

That’s funny, cuz our postmaster said he wouldn’t approve any 7:01 time until he gets approval from the district manager😂
Well good thing it’s not up to him or the District Manager...lol.

I have been taking loops daily since the volume fell off. No sweat off my back. Many of us have been actually.

This is where people like you prove that not everything Craig says is BS. You are paid by the hour and you owe 8 hours of work for 8 hours of pay. You're also entitled not to be given 9 hours of work and expected to do it in 8 hours. It works both ways.
