At my facility there is a need for animal caretakers during the pandemic. The facility has multiple animal caretakers. I am not an animal caretaker and have been forced to come during the pandemic and do animal care only. I am at the facility more days than any animal caretaker. There are multiple other people at my facility that have the same job as me(not animal caretakers) and are not coming in at all. So basically I am being forced to come in more than any animal caretaker and more than the other people at the same job. Is there anything I can do about being singled out?

Sounds to me like they believe you do a good job and they trust you. Why would you want to fight that? Especially since this is likely only going to last a couple weeks?

It sounds like OP is one of those "thats not my job" and "why should I if they dont have to?" folks.

Also, just in case anyone is interested. OPM has issued guidance that employees may be assigned to perform any work considered necessary without regard to the employee's grade, level, or title.

You posted an almost identical question five years ago...

Has this been going on for the past five years? Back then there was no pandemic and you were convinced that it was sexual discrimination. Also, you are not being "forced" to do anything.

Endless Summer - funny you found that! My reply then is the same now: "If you don't like your job and want to spend the next 5-10 years fighting, then put in an EEO." I would add SamJones could quit.
