I'm pretty sure there are no schedule awards for spine injuries, but I seem to remember something about a schedule award for nerve damage from neck disk herniation. I've had two surgeries now for 2 herniated neck disks. I am still hurting in the nerves so am trying to decide what I can do when my doctor releases me in a couple of months. Does anyone know whether or not I can get a schedule award for nerve damage?

Only one way to find out and you can get more later when your condition gets worse with age.

You can get a scheduled award due to the impairment to the extremities the nerve damage affects. The doctor narrative must show the degree of impairment using the guidelines in the AMA version the DOL is using. Example : I’ve had 2 back surgeries from a herniated disc which caused me permanent nerve damage to my lower extremities- my leg, down to my foot. I received scheduled award for loss of use to those areas. Use a doctor And lawyer that is fluent with Federal Workman Compensation .
