Anyone else run into this problem. I call the ejob bidding phone number and it says my account is locked. Also when i use liteblue it never shows any postings in the enter job bids section.

Are you a regular or CCA? If you're a CCA, you don't have access to job bidding. If you're a regular, check Liteblue frequently, or at least every Friday.

You might also want to check the job bidding board, too. Your shop steward, or even management, can give you info for bidding on routes or why it states your account is locked.

Thanks, I'm a regular, I'm on vacation this week so I can't see if it's posted. How long are jobs up for bid in office before going out of office?

According to Article 41, my interpretation is within 14 days but that depends on when they get around to officially posting the route up for bid.

Posting for Bid. Article 41.1.A.1 provides for the posting of a vacant
duty assignment for bid within 14 days after it becomes vacant, or in the
case of a newly established assignment, within 14 days of its creation
(unless a longer term is locally negotiated). However, when a newly
vacated duty assignment is under consideration for reversion, manage-
ment has a maximum of thirty days after the date the duty assignment is
vacated to make the decision to either revert the position or post it for
bid.
Take each day one step at a time.

If you have a buddy or shop steward at the office, contact them.

Is it normal for there to be no jobs listed for bidding?

Sorry if I'm coming off as a pain in the ass, just curious, aside from ebidding and bidding on the phone, is there another option, like a ps form, or a written bid?

There are bidding windows. You will see nothing on eJobBidding until their is an active window. It may be different for your craft and locale, but for my craft/local we have a 10 day bidding window each cycle, with 9-10 cycles per year.
Some do paper only bidding, like TTO and Custodians in my local, so they never see anything online.

we can not know the answer because every office has set times and days bids are posted for regulars to bid on. the contract covers how long the bids are open in conjunction with your local memo.

this is what the carrier contract states, "The notice shall remain posted for 10 days, unless a
different length for the posting period is established by local negotiations."

page 114
https://www.nalc.org/wor...-Agreement-2016-2019.pdf

but we do not have access to your local memo unless it is posted on line and then we would know where you work, not cool

shared services runs the human capital resource system which has all bids for all be the very small offices and they might be able to give you some additional incite. but you best bet is to contact your local union office.

If you are having issues accessing the bidding site at home, management must allow you time to do so on a postal computer.

Don't wait until the last minute.

Is the job "open" for bidding? Maybe the paper is posted a few days early.

Ask a co-worker to see if they have access to the online posting?

If the answer is yes to both of these, ask to use an office computer to put your bid in.

Thanks for the help everyone, turns out it was the form 1717 that I needed, last question, I'm filling this form out and the only slot that confuses me is "current assignment", I'm a T6, would that be the official name of my current assignment?
