I am puzzled myself? What is DFELHWC-FECA? Is this the new OWCP? This restructuring is causing a lot of issues for me trying to get paperwork and answers. Any answers? The lady name Jesse always helps. Jesse?

I don't know what is going on other than it's a bigger mess than it usually is.

There is no context in the posts about why you're asking about DFELHWC.

Sorry! I received my decision (reconsideration) for my case from them. I was working as a Letter Carrier. Just seemed odd to me. Excuse me for not clarifying.

If you're a letter carrier, your paperwork would not come from DFELHWC. It would come from DFEC (Division of Federal Employees Compensation).

While both are run/managed by the DOL, DFELHWC covers longshoremen and harbor workers. They would not cover a postal employee.

HuH! Well, my paper work did come from the DFELHWC. That is the name at the top and it is signed by the Federal Employees Program. It was a denial. Should I be worried? Or is this part of restructuring? I got the letter in the mail last month. I cannot find it in the letters section on ECOMP. Any suggestions?

Definitely not part of restructuring...two different systems.

It could just be a mistake, a big mistake, but still a mistake.

If the decision doesn't make any sense, isn't really about you or your issue, then yeah, you might have a problem.

Well, I am extremely sadden by this. My daughter and I read the decision and true enough, it did not make any sense to us. I did not dwell on it too much because the case was denied and I feel helpless in a sense. The only thing that I did was request another reconsideration with the ECAB. Thanks for your responses. So sad that the people really don't look at our cases as people.....just a piece of paper. Thanks again for your response and help when we ask questions.
