Hi. I’ve always gotten a bonus at the VA yearly, for having my performance rated as outstanding. This year would’ve been no different, but my amazing supervisor left after being spoken to and treated poorly by her male superior...(after moving her and her family here from California to take the job. That’s another story though) When she left she did not get to finish my review with all they wanted her to have complete. That was two months ago. The VA usually tried to give bonuses out around Christmas or New Years. However, with no review, I can’t get anything right now. Does this mean it j get an outstanding again 1-2 months after everyone else, I won’t get a bonus? The man above my old boss is now my boss and doesn’t know me, but has always been fairly rude and condescending in any interaction. He acts as if he is better then everyone. I know my boss thought I did an amazing job this year, but she’s not here now.. There is no new supervisors in sight yet despite a rapidly growing program needing leadership. Will his his lack of doing anything with my review cost me the $500 bonus if not done before the end of the calendar year? What can I do to get this done, without contacting his boss? Will HR be nagging him to get this done? Thanks!
