It is a great opportunity to increase your TSP contribution by 1%. |

I expect the final result to end up being closer to $300.00. We'll see. |

If someone put $25/month ($300/year) in an investment that gave a 5% rate of return, in 20 years they would have contributions of $6,000. A gain of $4,145 and a total of $10,145. 30 years would yield $9,000 in contributions, $11,384 in gains, for a total of $20,384 https://www.bankrate.com...-savings-calculator.aspx |

Jan 2021 CPI 760.447 - July 2020 CPI 752.527 = 7.92 Divided by .40 = 19.8 cents per hour, rounded up to 20 cents I believe. 20 x 2080 = $416 COLA

Here it is. In January, the final month of the six-month adjustment period for the fifth COLA under the 2018 Agreement, the CPI-W Unadjusted Index (1967=100) rose from last month to 760.447; an increase over the July 2020 Index point upon which employees received the last COLA. As a result of the rise in index level, the following COLA adjustment will be applied to each step of the basic annual salary for all employees covered under the 2018-2021 Collective Bargaining Agreement effective February 27, 2021 (pay period 06-2021, pay date March 19, 2021). The fifth COLA under the 2018 National Agreement will be $416.00: |
