FYSA: If you need to take leave for COVID, it’s no longer paid. FFCRA ended 31 Dec.

Everyone should check with their agency. Yes, the FFCRA Emergency Sick Leave program expired on December 31, 2020. However, the second CARES Act of 2020 allows employers the option of continuing the Emergency Sick Leave Program into 2021. Some agencies have the ability, and have decided to allow employees to use their allotted 80 hours of FFCRA Emergency Sick Leave until sometime later in 2021. It's my understanding that even if the deadline for using FFCRA leave is extended, employees will not be granted additional FFCRA leave beyond the initial allowance. Again, make sure to check with your agency HR personnel.

Interesting, would you know which specific agencies those are? DHS isn’t one of them.

No, I don't. From what I have heard, so far it has been primarily independent (not executive branch) agencies.
