My apologies if this is the wrong forum but does anybody here know if you are retired disabled through OPM, over age 50 and your spouse passes away, can you start collecting the full survivors benefits for your spouse from SSA? I know if you were SSA disabled you would but how do they handle this when you are OPM disabled and SSA didn't not find you disabled?
