Hi
Does anyone know how long it takes for OPM to process a Disability Retirement election after a person elects to switch from OWCP PR to OPM Disability retirement? My OPM DR application was approved a couple years ago, but I elected to recieve OWCP up until now, because the benefit is higher. But if OWCP ever terminates my benefits, I will have to switch. Just wondering if the delay is just a couple months or if it's several months. Also, would I lose my Federal employee BCBS if my OWCP benefits are terminated before OPM processes the election?
thank you very much.
