I am pursuing a military reserve position which will require TS/SCI clearance if I am selected. I have no clearance currently. I completed a favorable SCI pre-screen interview last year.

I am looking for a new job in the private sector (which I would hold concurrent with my reserve status). One potential position is a vice president role at the US Headquarters of Ikea.

I am fortunate that between our investments and my wife's work in healthcare we would not be reliant on the income from my work if that were threatened.

Would working in the US division of a large well known foreign company headquartered in Sweden be a cause for concern in the BI process such that I should avoid a role like that? I know, the concept of Ikea secretly being a global agent of Swedish espionage seems hilarious...
