I did my psyche exam July 1st 2021 and today August 3 I get an email from Capitol police background investigations saying I no longer meet the minimum requirements for hiring and I am dqed.
Have I failed my psych exam here? Or could it be something else. What are your thoughts

Suggest you query the BI people as to their reasons.

What makes you think it's my background?

I dont know anything about USCP but in similar situations with other agencies, you may be able to file a privacy act request to get copies of your file.

I assume you got some kind of letter or email informing you of the bad news? Maybe it had some info in there about possible appeals or inquiries, or maybe it said something about being able to reapply after some amount of time.

No mention of appeal . This is the email. Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in employment with the United States Capitol Police. The United States Capitol Police hiring process is intended to identify and employ the best candidates for the position of Police Officer.

We regret to inform you that you no longer meet the USCP Hiring Standards minimum requirements and will not receive further consideration for the position of Police Officer.

Thank you again for your interest in employment with the United States Capitol Police.
I did my psyche exam last month
I somehow doubt my bi has anything to do with this

Capitol Police is a bit of an odd duck in that it reports directly to Congress. And even though Congress makes all kinds of rules for others to follow, they exempt themselves from most of them.

So by saying you simply 'no longer meet the hiring standards' I guess that eliminates any room for appeal, unlike suitability or clearance determinations.

So this isn't background related?a letter of rejection stating the reason would be nice.
Ps I reapplied and I made it through the automated system. A bi failure will not allow one to reapply no ?
