1 assault family violence - dismissed when I was 21. Cops called for arguing with gf and when she broke up with me and tried to,leave I grabbed her by arms. Was arrested.

Used perscription drugs in 2011-2012

Willingly checked myself into rehab in 2012 and completed program. I have paperwork to proove.

Left rehab and lived in sober living home for men for 11 months, 9 months of which I helped manage the home. I have paper work to proove.

Have been sober from all drugs and alcohol for over 9 years.

At 5 years sober went to school and got degree in Mech engineering and graduated cum laude early 2021.

Have been married for over 7 years.

Have new baby.

Credit is good

No other issues.

Do i stand a chance?

In my opinion, the passage of time, successful participation in rehab, and good work record over the past few years more than mitigate any concerns.

Just don't expect your case will be among the fastest to complete :)

Start digging up records now to be able to provide investigator with names, dates, places, etc. It will help speed things up a bit if you can produce all this info when you meet.

Thank you for your reply. I have already started building a large portfolio for the investigator with as much info as is possible to provide him or her.
