They are calling my references for a USDA position. The job is about 1400 miles from where we currently live.

They are offering relocation.

What does that mean financially to the USDA?

In DOD it normally means you fund your move (stateside) and they pay you back. What is normally known by active duty military as a dity-move.

Funded moves in DOD where you get to use the shipping contractors usually only exist in overseas DOD moves.

Is that the same with USDA?

Or do they have a contract movers?

I had an interview with FNS (USDA) a few years back and came across this information during that time.
