Last year myself I received a performance award in my second year. So did my colleague who started with me. We later found out that they were somewhat common. This year, a couple of days ago, my colleague told me they got their award. I haven't received anything, despite the fact that I had a good review and accomplished several things this year. Should I be worried? Are my bosses probably unhappy with me somehow?

Not to sound snarky, but have you asked your supervisor? There may be a rational explanation. My Line Office used a new method to determine who would be eligible for bonuses for this review period that just ended. That resulted in many folks who have received a performance bonus for many years in a row not getting a bonus this year. And it had nothing to do with a drop in their performance (either real or perceived). So ask.

Totally valid point, and good advice. I was probably being a bit soft in not asking my supervisor, as it might be awkward. But there's no better way to find out.

Thanks,
