I have a small IRA that makes very little and am wondering if it can be transferred into my TSP without a tax liability? Edited by user Monday, December 27, 2021 9:27:03 AM(UTC)

I did this with no tax liability. Make sure it is a direct transfer from the IRA to the TSP. There's a form somewhere on the TSP site. And in my case, the IRA did their part almost instantly while the TSP took at least at week to process it. |

Does it make very little because it is small, or because it is invested in a poor mutual fund with high fees? You could transfer it to Fidelity and invest in the same funds (except the G fund) at a lower cost than the TSP. Your IRA would then make as much, on a percentage, as your TSP.
