Ed,
A friend retired under FERS Disability at age 58. Did he have to immediately file under the simplified method yo recovering his pension contributions, or can he wait until age 62, when converted to FERS regular pension. Under his first 2 years of retiring under FERS Disability, he paid taxes on the whole amount of his annuity, and did not take advantage of using the simplified method to recover his FERS contribution. |
