Anyone retired while working OCONUS and moved back to USA? I was wondering if the govt/DoD would help with moving expenses back to CONUS if someone retired before completing their Travel agreement. For example if someone is on their second year of a 3 year travel agreement and submit for retirement would they receive any monetary assistance for moving?

They're not required to but if you completed 24 months, I haven't heard of a case where they didn't send you back to your HOR. It's generally people who try to leave before the 12 months or very closely afterwards that they frown upon.

My Spouse wants to retire at what will be their 24th month point of a 36 month OCONUS tour. Trying to find out if PCS entitlements back to home of record are provided or no. I know they can approve curtailment at any point in tour and pay, but they don't have to. Maybe she could submit for retirement and request curtailment at the same time, or request curtailment for retirement purposes and then submit retirement paperwork if approved.
